Covering the principles of pragmatics and how to apply them, this book is an opportunity to explore the field and shows how to plan effective management programs.

After introducing pragmatic theory, the authors compare normal pragmatic development with the features of pragmatic dysfunction. Formal and informal assessment methods are examined, followed by a discussion of the principles of therapy. The largest chapter sets out detailed therapy suggestions for wide use with clients. The appendices include pragmatic assessment forms and client profile forms. The book is a useful addition to the resources available to specialists planning therapy and teaching programs using a pragmatic approach.
