Inside front cover
The author Val Pierce's passion for knitting began when her father taught her to knit at the age of five. Later, Val began working from home making a huge variety of knitted pieces for yarn manufacturers, from evening dresses to stuffed toys. She then began designing the pieces she made, and before long her designs were appearing regularly in art exhibitions and crochet magazines.
Val also teaches knitting, as well as a range of needlecrafts, to adults and children. She lives and works in Shropshire.
