Val Pierce's passion for knitting began when her father taught her to knit at the age of five. Later she began knitting pieces at home for yarn manufacturers, and has since made a wide variety of knitted items, from dresses to children's toys. She then began designing the pieces she made, and before long her work was appearing widely and regularly in local knitting and crochet magazines. Val teaches knitting and other needlecrafts to adults and children, and lives and works in Shropshire, UK.
