Book: A Peacock in the Land of Penguins (translation of the third edition)
by BJ Gallagher Hateley and Warren Schmidt

A modern fable about how to bring out creativity and courage in today's organizations.

This book offers a fresh perspective on an important subject: how to bring a spirit of renewal, creativity and development into the workplace by planting new ideas instead of relying on outdated traditional methods. Thanks to its wonderful, engaging style, the book takes the form of a fable about organizations, told in a thoroughly modern spirit. Its story is about how to build an organization that values innovation and creativity, and how to make the most of employees' talents and energy while securing their commitment. This new edition also includes tips, tools and strategies for peacock personalities, plus a new section on how to change a penguin culture.

Through this book, the authors capture an important truth about today's problem-filled workplace, and convincingly show that it is possible to bring about enormous change by making use of the differences in how employees in a company work.

About the author:

BJ Gallagher Hateley

BJ Hateley earned a doctorate in social ethics from the University of Southern California, which qualified her to become a professional social reformer. She currently works as a manager in staff training and development. She worked for a time at the Times newspaper, then left to open her own consulting and training company, Peacock Productions.
