Radio Boombox

Build a working radio from thick, colorful cardboard pieces plus a few simple electronic parts, such as an FM receiver module, a speaker and a battery box.

As they build, children learn about sound waves, the difference between AM and FM, and a little of the history of radio.

The building instructions are detailed and clear, with illustrations that make them easy to understand and follow.

The project is also a chance to teach children what a DJ does and the role DJs have played in radio history.
